Platypus - QuickDraw 3L Gravity Filter System

At the centre of the system is the hollow fibre QuickDraw Filter, which flows at 1.75 litres per minute in gravity mode and up to 3 litres per minute when you switch to squeeze filtering. That versatility is built into the hardware: I/O threads on the dirty side and the ConnectCap on the clean side mean the filter attaches to a wide range of bottles and reservoirs, from narrow-mouth smartwater bottles to wide-mouth Nalgenes and hydration reservoirs with a quick disconnect. The included Bottle Adapter is vented so filtered water dispenses smoothly without airlock. Like all Platypus filters, each unit is individually tested to meet EPA and NSF guidelines, removing 99.9999% of bacteria and 99.9% of protozoa, including Giardia, Cryptosporidium, and E. coli.

The 3L dirty reservoir is built from a durable tri-layer film that packs down flat and is guaranteed plastic-taste-free, which matters on a long canoe route when you're drinking from it all day. The detachable hang handle makes setup fast at camp and comes off cleanly when you want to roll the reservoir down for squeeze use. Two cleaning methods (shake-to-clean and backflushing) maintain flow on the trail, and a simple integrity check lets you confirm the filter hasn't been compromised by a drop or a freeze.
